Adult Vaccination Centre for 65+ to Open at GMCH-32, Punjab Governor to Inaugurate….
Rotarians of Rotary Club Chandigarh Central met on Saturday 25th April 2026, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator U T Shri Gulab Chand Kataria at Punjab Raj Bhavan under the President Rtn. Vebhu Bhatnagar, PP Rtn. R S Cheema, PP Rtn. Ashish Midha and Rtn. Ankit Jain and invited the Governor for the opening of Adult Vaccination Centre being established by the Rotary Club Chandigarh Central at Government Medical College & Hospital sec 32 Chandigarh for the Geriatric age i. e 65 years and above is required as elderly suffer many diseases which are preventable by vaccines. The invitation was accepted by the Hon’ble Governor. The same will be inaugurated on 11 Mat 2026 Monday at 10 Am at GMCH sec 32 Chandigarh..The same is required for the elderly whose immunity level goes down with the age. It is a misconception that vaccination is required only for young children and an awareness has also be made among the adults for its importance in their life.
